A lesson about days of the week

One of the interesting lessons we’ve learned about time since we started on the smallholding is that it works differently on farms than elsewhere.

I’m serious.

For one thing, weekends are a made up concept. They are the same as any other day of the week with the same hours and chores. Except that other shops and businesses have different opening hours.

There’s also a massive difference in how we now think about months and seasons rather than days and weeks when planning out jobs.

Time works differently in farming!
